Senior creative capacity, on call.

Reserved senior creative capacity for agencies: brand, packaging and campaign work under your name, with direct access to the person doing it.

The pitch lands on a Tuesday. Two clients are mid-launch, your best designer is at capacity, and hiring a senior person for a spike in work would be a mistake you pay for all year.

Most agencies cover this with freelancers, and some of it works. What tends not to work is judgment. A strong freelancer can execute. Fewer can read a brief, tell you what is wrong with it and fix it before it reaches the client. That is the gap this fills: not more hands, a senior one.

What changes

  1. Capacity without a hire. Reserved hours each month, scaled up or down with the work.
  2. Better work out the door. Senior direction on strategy, concept and craft before the client sees it.
  3. Your name stays on it. White label by default. Nothing goes public without asking first.

How it works

  1. A short fit call. We talk through your clients, your workload and where the pressure lands.
  2. A scoping note. Monthly hours, cadence, how we communicate and who sees what.
  3. A first job. Small and real, so we both see how we work together.
  4. Ongoing or on demand. Reserved capacity if the work is steady, project by project if it is not.

What’s included

  • Brand strategy and positioning support for client work
  • Packaging and CPG design direction, including production-ready files
  • Campaign concepts and creative review
  • Pitch support and presentation craft
  • Embedded team weeks when you need someone in the room

Proof

Twenty years across CPG, craft beverage, food and consumer brands. Aaron was founding creative director of Camp Beer Company, where the brand, the packaging and the space were built from inception. More on the work page: Camp Beer Co., Hi-Five Chicken, Bakestone Brothers and XeroStrip. There is no account manager between you and the person doing the work.

Who it fits

Agencies at capacity, agencies without a senior brand or packaging lead in house, and agencies serving food, beverage, hospitality or real estate clients that want that depth available.

Who it doesn’t fit

Agencies looking for the cheapest production help, or a team to run a whole account. This is one senior person, and lead times stretch as the roster fills.

Questions

Is the work white label?

Yes, by default. The work goes out under your name, and nothing is shown publicly without your say.

Who does the work?

Aaron. Not a junior with Aaron’s name on it.

Do we need a retainer?

No. Reserved capacity is discounted and suits steady work. One-off jobs are scoped as projects.

What kinds of work can you take on?

Brand strategy, packaging and CPG design direction, campaign concepts, creative review and pitch support. If a job sits outside that, say so on the first call.

How fast can you start?

It depends on the roster. Ask on the call and you will get a straight answer.
